On Friday I suggested that we add a tent to the lawn for ceremony back up, cocktails and after dinner dancing. They agreed since weather.com read 50 degrees and 40% chance of rain.
We got the tent up on Saturday morning just before the 40% chance of rain turned into 150% chance of rain!!! The tent completely flooded. It was exhausting Caroline and I had to use squeegees from the kitchen to brush the grass in hopes of salvaging the tent.
The flowers turned out beautiful despite the weather!
And in a perfectly Godly way, about an hour before her ceremony the skies parted and the sun came out just in time for the ceremony to happen outside. But not without having to quickly wipe down all the chairs while the guests were in the lobby. Immediately following the ceremony the skies became black again and everyone used the tent.
Needless to say Sunday was a great day to "lay low". Tis the season!
