Ken and I recently attended a fund raiser for a friend who was involved in a car accident.
It is a very sad story that has had a great outcome.
Josh was involved in a car accident one evening on James Island SC. He flipped his car and was instantly paralyzed from the waist down. He was admitted to the hospital and remained there for over two months with a Halo placed on his head.
As you can imagine this hit home to me given my history in a wheelchair so Ken and I tried to spend as much time with him in the hospital as possible. Even brought him some of Mamma Judy's Coconut Pie. His girlfriend is a very close friend of ours, Jess Mills.
Unfortunately Josh & Jess learned a tough lesson given Josh did not have Insurance. With an obscene amount of medical bills to pay Jess chose to throw Josh a fundraising party and theme it to Mohawks - since Josh loves them! Here are the photos from the event.
So why not have a hairdresser shaving heads at this party? The goal was to get into the Guinness Book of World Records for the most amount of mohawks at one party.
Everyone got into the spirit!
Including Ken.....
Josh has been released from the hospital and is moving around slowly, but walking with a cane. We continue to pray for he and Jess through this journey.
