Wow - what a perfect weekend we had!!
Ken and I flew into San Juan Puerto Rico on Thursday. We took the puddle jumper from San Juan to Vieques. When they were arranging the passengers on the 10 person plane I ended up in the cock pit. And what does one do it the cock pit??? She flies the plane!! It was amazing.
Our hotel was super cool. It was super laid back and very Caribbean - reminded us a lot of where we stayed in Rincon PR with John & Kathy. Most of the wedding guests stayed at this hotel and we took over the whole place. Needless to say LOTS of fun was had at this place.
Megan and Scott hosted a wonderful welcome party at a small restaurant on the ocean. A great way to welcome everyone to their fun filled weekend.
Friday they hosted a beach party on a private beach with a DJ, delicious food and open bar. We had such a great time!
And of course there was a stellar dance party........That evening Scott's parents had everyone to Bioluminescent Bay where we kayaked in the lake that lit up!! Not sure why Ken looks half asleep but you get the point.
Saturday was the wedding day and the weather could not have been more perfect.
We got the day started right with a yoga session on the pool deck. About 20 guests showed up!!
Megan's parents rented this gorgeous home where the wedding took place. I was honored to be a reader in the wedding. Megan looked stunning of course and their hand written vows were so personal. The evening was filled with dancing, toasts, love and laughs!!
Following the wedding everyone went to a great bar in Vieques for some karaoke and boy did we tear it up.
Ken and I have been so fortunate to visit Puerto Rico a couple of times and are so impressed at how each part of PR is so different. Vieques will surely be a place we would enjoy returning to.
